Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Virginia with about 15 years' experience, I work with clients on variety of topics but mainly specialize in Unhealthy Relationships and Intimate Partner Violence, Childhood Abuse and Neglect (Adults), and Self Esteem and Self-Worth. I also add a spiritual component (not religious) to therapy if this is meaningful to the client.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My mission is to meet client’s where they are in their “walk of life” and help them with life’s challenges by providing a kind, embracing, and understanding environment. The main approaches I use with my clients are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), and Family Systems Theory and Systems Theory.

What you can expect from our first session

Our first session will be more informational where I learn more about your background and what brought you to counseling. You can share as much or as little as you want. In future sessions we will work on individualized goals that you and I collaborate on together. They can be changed and adjusted at any time.
