Great to meet you!

I’m a trauma-informed therapist, leader, and advocate with over a decade of experience supporting children, families, and adults navigating life after hard things.

My work is rooted in helping people heal from trauma, manage anxiety and stress, and rebuild a sense of identity and stability during major life transitions. I specialize in working with individuals who carry a lot caregivers, professionals, survivors of interpersonal trauma, and people from historically marginalized communities who are often used to being strong for everyone else. I also specialize in addressing and healing generational trauma for black communities.

My approach to therapy

What it’s like to work with me

I am warm, direct, and deeply compassionate.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, not clinical or intimidating.

I see you as a whole person, not a diagnosis.

I understand how culture, race, family roles, and life experiences shape mental health.

I hold space for both pain and possibility.

I bring not only clinical training, but years of experience working alongside families and individuals impacted by trauma, systems involvement, and high-stress environments. I understand what it’s like to function on the outside while quietly carrying a lot on the inside.

What you can expect from me

My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and empowerment-centered. I draw from:

  • Trauma-focused therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Strengths-based practice
  • Mindfulness and grounding strategies
  • Attachment and relational work
  • Narrative and identity-focused work

But more than any model, my approach is about helping clients:

Understand how past experiences shape current patterns

Learn practical tools to manage emotions, stress, and triggers

Build healthier relationships and boundaries

Reconnect with their sense of self beyond survival mode

Move from just “getting through” to actually healing

I believe symptoms often make sense when we understand someone’s story. Together, we work to reduce distress while also addressing the deeper roots.
