Great to meet you!

I am committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to be yourself and explore both challenges and strengths. I take a collaborative, curious approach to therapy, working alongside you to better understand your experiences and help you move toward meaningful change.

I provide affirming care for LGBTQIA+ and gender non-conforming individuals, and I work with both children and adults across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, PTSD, agoraphobia, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and other complex mental health needs.

My approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strengths-based, and person-centered practices, allowing me to tailor treatment to your individual needs.

I earned my undergraduate degrees in Social Work and Women’s Studies in 2008 and my Master of Social Work in 2019, with a focus on rural and Native communities. My professional background includes roles in residential life, social work within adult foster care, and leadership in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live independently. Since 2020, I have worked as a therapist supporting adults with high-acuity and serious mental health conditions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, strengths-based, and collaborative. I view each person as a whole, taking into account your unique experiences, identities, and environment. I work alongside you to build on your existing strengths while exploring the challenges you’re facing.

I aim to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being open and honest. Together, we’ll identify your goals and develop practical tools to support meaningful change. My work is informed by evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and person-centered therapy, allowing me to tailor our sessions to your individual needs.

I offer sessions via telehealth or phone to provide flexible, accessible support.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we begin getting to know one another. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any goals you may have. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is a space for you to move at your own pace.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, experiences, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. This initial conversation also helps me begin tailoring an approach that fits your needs.

We’ll also review logistics such as confidentiality, the structure of sessions, and answer any questions you may have about the process. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and comfortable moving forward together.
