I am licensed in California with over 12 years of professional work experience. I help individual clients with stress and anxiety, trauma/abuse, relationships & depression. I have provided psychotherapy services at domestic violence and sexual assault clinics, psychiatric hospitals, mobile crisis units for families and adults with neuro-developmental disorders, and with military Veterans of varying ages struggling with social, psychological, and physically disabling conditions. In my private practice I have supported my millennial peers with the many challenges we struggle with everyday.
My approach is eclectic, using Motivational Interviewing techniques to develop change behaviors, and will help you build on skills and strengths you already possess. I provide education on skills from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and utilize a Trauma Informed approach. Psychotherapy I provide is primarily based on Interpersonal and Narrative therapy models.
Therapy I provide tends to be relaxed but guided, eclectic, and is led by your feedback and requests. In our first sessions I guide you through sharing your current circumstances, later I'll help you gain insight and alternative perspectives. I will teach you various skills that will be specific to your needs and preferences. Feedback from my current clients tell me that I offer a warm and compassionate space to both air grievances, but also develop a plan toward change.
