Great to meet you!

I am grateful you have decided to visit my profile.

My name is Kristina M. Greco and I graduated from Rutgers University School of Social Work. I have my License of Clinical Social Work, I am certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and am a Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher.

I utilize evidence based practices such as strength based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and humanistic therapy. I have experience servicing our elderly population and those who find themselves seeking substance use treatment, both inpatient and outpatient. Most recently I have been fortunate enough to support youth and their families within the community.

Music, nature, learning and creative expression are experiences I value. I believe in the power of connection to ourselves and others and find beauty in imperfection. My hope is to continue to seek, explore and add therapeutic practices that allow for a more diverse offering for those pursuing therapeutic services.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I find value in strength-based and humanistic approaches to therapy. However I am also mindful that different approaches support different individuals. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) are also evidence based practices utilized in sessions. The incorporation of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and a Trauma Informed Yoga practice has been ideal in reconnecting us to ourselves and each other. I am certified in MBSR and am a teacher of Trauma Informed Yoga. My hope is to continue to seek, explore and add therapeutic practices that allow for a more diverse offering for those pursuing therapeutic services.

What you can expect from our first session

My intention for each session is to empower you, encourage mindfulness, embrace gratitude, and explore an internal dialogue that questions and challenges our current patterns of behavior or thought. Simple changes can lead to considerable impacts. Oftentimes feeling heard and valid in our experiences is the first step we've been missing and can catapult us into lasting growth and progression.
