Great to meet you!

As an therapist with a personal history of trauma, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my practice. My journey has shaped my understanding of the complexities of trauma and how it impacts individuals on both a personal and cultural level. I have seen firsthand how historical and generational trauma can influence mental health, and I am deeply committed to helping others navigate their healing process.

My passion lies in trauma work, particularly in helping clients explore and address the root causes of their pain, whether they stem from past experiences, systemic oppression, or internalized struggles. I believe that healing is possible, and I use a holistic approach, integrating therapeutic techniques with cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a deep respect for each individual's unique journey.

Through our work together, my goal is to create a safe space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. I am here to walk alongside you as you navigate your path to healing, offering support, guidance, and a listening ear to help you reclaim your power and move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

  • Trauma-Informed
    • You understand how trauma—personal, historical, and generational—shapes people’s mental health.
    • You prioritize safety, trust, empowerment, and collaboration in your sessions.
  • Holistic
    • You don’t just treat symptoms—you explore root causes (past experiences, systemic oppression, internalized struggles).
    • You integrate mind, body, and emotional well-being into the healing process.
  • Culturally Responsive
    • You recognize the unique impact of cultural identity, race, and systemic oppression on mental health.
    • You bring sensitivity to these factors and validate lived experiences, especially in African American and marginalized communities.
  • Empathic & Relational
    • Your lived experience allows you to connect authentically and foster trust.
    • You walk alongside clients, empowering them to reclaim their power rather than directing their healing journey.
  • Strengths-Based & Growth-Oriented
    • You focus on resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment.
    • You help clients see progress—even in small steps—as meaning
