Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Kristina Murray, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals find balance, healing, and hope through personalized mental health care.

I graduated from Frontier Nursing University with my Master of Science in Nursing and bring nearly a decade of nursing experience in pediatric, public health, and acute care settings. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how closely connected our physical health and emotional well-being truly are. That connection continues to shape how I practice today.

I take a holistic and collaborative approach, working with each person to develop a treatment plan that fits their unique needs and goals. I believe in seeing the whole person—not just the diagnosis—and strive to create a safe, supportive space where my patients feel heard, valued, and empowered in their journey toward wellness.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a mom to two energetic boys who keep me on my toes and fill my days with laughter. My husband is a firefighter and military veteran, and together we share a deep appreciation for service, resilience, and community. As a parent of a child diagnosed with autism, I also have a personal understanding of the challenges and joys that come with neurodiversity. That perspective fuels my passion for creating inclusive, compassionate mental health care for individuals and families from all walks of life.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered, where your story matters and your care feels intentional. At Solas Mental Wellness, we move toward healing together, one thoughtful step at a time.

My approach to therapy

Solas is an Irish word that primarily means "light," "brightness," or "illumination". It refers to light in many forms, ranging from the gentle glow of a candle to the radiance of the sun, and is often used to symbolize knowledge, hope, and guidance.

At the heart of our practice is a commitment to providing thoughtful psychiatric care at every stage of life. Our goal is to partner with you on your journey, delivering holistic, individualized treatment that supports not only healing but meaningful growth and lasting resilience. We pride ourselves on integrating evidence-based treatment, preventive care, and early intervention strategies to help you truly thrive.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a comprehensive evaluation designed to understand you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. We’ll spend time discussing your current concerns, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and goals for treatment. My aim is to create a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace.

By the end of the session, we will begin to outline a personalized plan that may include medication options (if appropriate), lifestyle considerations, and next steps. My goal is for you to leave with greater clarity, a sense of direction, and the feeling that you have a thoughtful partner in your care.
