Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in Texas, certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC). With a robust foundation in mental health and addiction counseling, I hold specialized certifications in (EMDR) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy and Anger Management therapy. I am also trained in Gottman Therapy, Play Therapy, and a variety of other evidence based modalities, ensuring a versatile and comprehensive approach.

My approach to therapy

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, co-worker, friend, and individual; a fellow traveller in this journey we call life. I have a passion for families, relationships, dreams, goals, and whatever it takes to be successful and live yours/mine/our best lives. I think of the people along the way in my journey, that have helped me get to where I am today (and beyond) and I want to be that person for someone else. I want to be there for you, whether it is big or small, stuck or deciding, or working things out. I have a strong faith and love to utilize that in sessions when I have clients that want to incorporate this. God made ALL of us unique on purpose, and in our uniqueness is displayed His greatness. I love helping others step into and fulfill that which God put in their hearts to be.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I like for us to: a) get to know each other, (b) get a sense of direction, what would you like to accomplish in therapy, (c) how to best go about it. We can also talk about scheduling and what you have in mind/my availability. This session sets us up for some expectations of future sessions; which are totally adjustable along the way.
