Great to meet you!

I’m Kristine "Kristy" Lomas, MSN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of experience in healthcare. My background spans outpatient psychiatry, medication management, interventional psychiatry, emergency psychiatric care, critical care nursing, and nursing education.

My clinical interests include depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, women’s and reproductive mental health, and treatment-resistant depression. I also have specialized experience with TMS and Spravato® (esketamine), which has given me a broader perspective on options for individuals who have not found adequate relief with traditional treatments.

I believe a diagnosis is only one part of your story. My goal is to help you feel more like yourself, function more fully, and move toward a life that feels meaningful to you.

Your story. Your goals. Your care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, expressing concerns, and being actively involved in decisions about your treatment.

Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, I consider the broader factors that may be influencing your mental wellbeing, including sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, movement, nutrition, and hormonal or reproductive changes. Medication may be an important part of treatment, but it is one of several tools we can consider.

We will work together to create a thoughtful, evidence-based plan that fits your needs, preferences, and goals.

As your life and needs change, we will continue to evaluate what is helping and adjust your care accordingly.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good therapeutic fit. I’ll take time to understand what brings you to care, your history, current concerns, previous treatments, strengths, and what you hope to achieve.

Just as importantly, we’ll discuss your expectations and goals so I can determine whether my approach and expertise align with the care you are looking for. I’ll share my clinical impressions, answer your questions, and discuss treatment options that may be appropriate.

By the end of our first visit, my goal is for you to leave with greater clarity about what you are experiencing, what we can work toward together, and whether we can build a therapeutic relationship that feels collaborative, comfortable, and capable of supporting your goals.
