My approach to therapy

Kristoffer believes in using evidence-based approaches to treatment as well as creating a supportive, positive, and goal oriented environment to help his clients achieve long lasting success. He specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), all of which have been found to facilitate significant growth.

What you can expect from me

Kristoffer completed his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois-Champaign. He also served in the United States Army and has worked in various clinical settings, including community mental health, inpatient substance use, and mental health centers over the past 14 years.
