Great to meet you!

I help clients feel comfortable starting counseling by offering a welcoming, person-centered approach that meets them where they are. With over 20 years as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I focus on building trust, listening carefully, and collaborating on practical goals. I create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes.

My specialties include working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, and life's adverse experiences. I also support student-athletes in reaching personal and athletic goals. I have extensive experience supporting parents as they strive to raise healthy, confident, and resilient children.

As a counselor and parent of four adult children, I understand the challenges individuals and families face. I believe everyone has intrinsic strengths and resiliencies. Together, we identify those strengths and use mindful strategies to help clients feel grounded, connected, and capable of navigating life’s challenges.

My approach to therapy

Counseling offers a safe, collaborative space to process experiences, build coping skills, and create positive change. My approach is individualized and compassionate, tailoring our work to meet your unique needs. Together, we will openly discuss goals and the counseling process during the intake to ensure our work feels supportive, purposeful, and aligned with what matters most to you.

What you can expect from me

My counseling approach is person-centered and focused on empowering clients to recognize their strengths and capacity for growth. I work collaboratively with clients to address challenges and navigate obstacles impacting their lives. When appropriate, mindfulness practices, goal setting, and journal writing may be incorporated as supportive tools.
