Great to meet you!

Sometimes life doesn’t feel like something you’re managing—it feels like something you’re reacting to.

Emotions can feel intense or unpredictable. Stress builds quickly. Relationships become harder to navigate. You may find yourself shutting down, lashing out, overthinking, or feeling overwhelmed by things that don’t seem to affect others in the same way.

I’m Kristopher, a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience supporting adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, relationship challenges, family conflict, and emotional regulation difficulties. My work focuses on helping people understand what’s happening beneath their reactions so they can begin to feel more in control of themselves and their relationships.

Many of the people I work with are not “broken”—they’re overwhelmed, under-supported, or carrying emotional patterns that were never given space to be understood or healed.

My approach to therapy

I take a direct, collaborative, and structured approach to therapy.

My goal is to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so you can begin to respond differently in moments that feel difficult or overwhelming.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR-informed work, and skills-based approaches to help clients build emotional regulation, reduce reactivity, and improve communication in relationships. Depending on your needs, we may focus on processing past experiences, identifying triggers, or building practical strategies for managing day-to-day stress.

Therapy with me is not just about insight—it’s about learning tools you can actually use in real time when life gets hard.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on what’s been feeling most difficult recently and what patterns you’d like to change.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed, reactive, stuck in conflict cycles, or unsure why they keep responding to situations in ways they later regret.

Over time, clients often begin to feel more emotionally steady, more intentional in their responses, and more confident in their relationships. The goal is not to eliminate emotion—it’s to help you feel more in control of how you experience and express it.

If you’re tired of feeling overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in repeated relationship patterns, or like life is happening “at” you instead of something you’re actively navigating, I would be honored to support you.
