Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychologist with a PhD in Counseling Psychology and advanced training in neuropsychology. I have 20 years of experience, and I’ve served as faculty at Texas State University.

In my therapy work, I specialize in helping adults, teens, and children make sense of their minds when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or out of sync. I also help diagnose ADHD, autism, and executive functioning and emotional challenges. Many of my clients are bright, capable individuals who feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or worn down by expectations that don’t quite fit how their brains work.

Although I’m trained as a neuropsychologist and regularly conduct comprehensive evaluations/testing, my talk therapy approach is practical, collaborative, and strengths-based. I focus on helping clients better understand themselves, build effective coping strategies, and feel more confident navigating school, work, relationships, and daily life.

My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood and supported, and where therapy leads to real, usable changes -- actual and long-deserved relief. My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is active, collaborative, and grounded in real life. Sessions are structured enough to feel purposeful, but flexible enough to meet clients where they are. I focus on understanding what’s getting in the way day to day and working together on practical strategies that make things feel more manageable.

I often integrate skills-based work (such as emotional regulation, executive functioning supports, and stress management) with space for processing experiences, identity, and self-understanding. For clients with ADHD or autistic traits, therapy may include breaking patterns of shame, reducing overwhelm, and learning how to work with their brain rather than against it.

My style is warm, straightforward, and engaged. I tend to be transparent about the therapy process and check in regularly about what is or isn’t helpful. The goal is for therapy to feel useful, supportive, and grounded in meaningful change—not abstract or overly clinical.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, low-pressure space where we focus on getting to know you as a person, not just a list of concerns. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels hardest right now, and what you’re hoping might change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, but there’s no expectation to share everything at once—we go at a pace that feels comfortable. Together, we’ll start identifying a few realistic goals so therapy feels focused and useful from the start. Most clients leave the first session feeling understood, a bit more grounded, and clearer about what next steps could look like.
