Great to meet you!

Hi there, and thank you for being here. I’m a wife and mom of two, living life fully in my 40s and valuing family, community, and balance. I love volunteering, traveling, camping, hiking, biking, and making space for meaningful connection and self-care.

I’m a former teacher turned therapist, earning my Master’s degree in Social Work (Direct Practice) from the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa. I’ve worked in mental health and social services for over 21 years in settings including private practice, domestic violence support, hospice, community mental health, school-based counseling, children’s shelters, youth detention centers, skilled nursing facilities, and telehealth. I work with adults, older adults, children, and families, bringing both life experience and clinical depth to our work together.

My approach to therapy

My approach is organic and conversational, meaning therapy feels like a meaningful dialogue rather than a rigid process. We start by understanding your history and current concerns, then gently identify patterns and underlying themes that may be contributing to stress or emotional pain.

I use a client-centered approach, which means you help guide the direction of our work. My goal is to equip you with practical tools and healthier coping strategies so you can create lasting change. When I refer to “maladaptive coping,” I mean habits or responses that may have once helped you survive but are now getting in the way of your growth. Therapy is a safe, validating space where we can replace those patterns with more balanced and sustainable ones.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we’ll begin by getting to know each other and identifying what feels most important right now. You can expect a supportive, flexible space where you’re met exactly where you are. If something pressing comes up, we’ll focus there.

Because I use a client-centered approach, you’ll have a voice in what we work on each session. We’ll collaborate as a team, prioritizing your goals and creating a path forward that feels empowering and realistic.
