Great to meet you!

I help people understand the patterns that keep repeating in their lives and, more importantly, learn how to change them.

With more than 20 years of clinical experience, a doctorate in psychology, and licensure as a Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, I work with adults who are often highly capable on the outside but feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or frustrated by patterns they cannot seem to resolve on their own.

My approach is active, practical, and collaborative. Therapy with me is not simply about talking through the same problems each week. We look at what is happening, identify the emotional and behavioral patterns underneath it, understand why those patterns developed, and build concrete strategies for responding differently.

I particularly enjoy working with concerns related to:

  • Relationship and communication patterns
  • Women's issues and life transitions
  • Betrayal, trust, and relationship injuries
  • Boundaries and people-pleasing
  • Self-worth and identity
  • Major life or career transitions
  • Compulsive or difficult-to-control behaviors
  • Behavioral addictions, including gambling-related concerns
  • Repeating patterns that affect relationships, finances, work, or overall well-being

My style combines evidence-based therapy, behavioral science, pattern recognition, direct feedback, curiosity, and compassion. I believe insight matters, but insight alone is rarely enough. The goal is to help you understand yourself well enough that you can begin making different choices in real life.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong or what you want to change. We can figure that out together.

If you are looking for a therapist who will listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, help you connect the dots, and actively work with you toward change, we may be a good fit.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is active, collaborative, and focused on helping clients understand not only what they are experiencing, but why certain patterns keep repeating and how to change them.

I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral science, trauma-informed care, and relational approaches while tailoring treatment to the individual. My style is warm and supportive, but also practical and engaged. I ask thoughtful questions, help clients connect patterns across relationships and experiences, and provide direct feedback when it can help move the work forward.

With more than 20 years of clinical experience, I especially enjoy working with adults navigating relationship and communication difficulties, women's issues, life transitions, betrayal and trust concerns, boundaries, self-worth, compulsive behaviors, and behavioral addictions.

I believe insight is important, but therapy should also create meaningful change outside of the session. Together, we identify the patterns that are no longer serving you, understand where they came from, and develop realistic strategies for responding differently in your relationships, decisions, and everyday life.

What you can expect from me

  • Your first session is a chance for me to understand you as a whole person, not simply a list of symptoms. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what you would like to change, and any patterns you have already noticed in your relationships, emotions, behaviors, or decision-making. I will also ask questions about your history and current circumstances so we can begin connecting the dots. My goal is to create an environment that feels comfortable, collaborative, and judgment-free while still being purposeful. You can expect me to be engaged, curious, and interactive rather than simply sitting back and listening. By the end of the first few sessions, we will typically have a clearer understanding of the primary patterns contributing to your concerns and a practical direction for treatment. Together, we will identify meaningful goals and begin developing strategies that can create change both inside and outside of therapy. You do not need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say. Showing up as you are is enough. We will figure out where to begin together.
