Great to meet you!

I used to view mental health, physical health, and relationships as separate, but they’re deeply connected. Poor boundaries can impact how we eat, cope, and care for ourselves. Our early relationships shape how we show up in connection with others. As a Caribbean-American therapist with a background in public health and nutrition, and I understand the cultural tendency to look for quick fixes instead of getting to the root. But lasting change takes a support, healthy habits, courage and time.

My clinical experience includes working with families, adolescents, and couples of various cultures and ethinicities. I have also worked various settings such as intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), private practice, as well as Clinical Dietitian in an inpatient setting. I specialize in working with young adults, (Millennial & Generation Z) who experience emotional and relational challenges including anxiety, codependency, depression, and poor boundaries with self and others.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens through reflection, feedback, and supportive challenge. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships from your perspective. I listen closely, offer insight, and help you gain clarity around the patterns, behaviors, and beliefs that may no longer serve you. I primarily view healing through a relational and attachment-based lens, exploring how early experiences and interpersonal dynamics shape the way you relate to yourself and others.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to provide a compassionate space where you can explore the beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you and begin building a life that reflects your values, needs, and growth.

My initial sessions are typically relaxed and conversational. It's my chance to get to know you—not just the challenges you're facing, but how you view therapy, what you've experienced in the past, and what you're hoping to gain from this process. I don’t jump straight into problem-solving because I believe meaningful progress starts with context and connection. As trust grows, I help clients connect with the different parts of themselves—especially those they’ve had to push away—and begin to move toward inner clarity and integration.
