Great to meet you!

Dr. Handy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly 18 years of experience in human services and mental health care. She is a graduate of the leading Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) institutions in her academic field which is key to her training in effective individual, couple and family therapy.

My approach to therapy

Dr. Handy offers culturally-informed, non-judgmental (seriously), Christ-centered practical guidance, infused with marriage and family therapy practices and psychology-based therapies. Dr. Handy specializes in treatment of: survivors of trauma, residual impact of the BIPOC (i.e., Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities, Christians that practice or struggle with their practice of the faith, and those “of any ethnicity” seeking racial inquiry, reconciliation and healing in today’s climate.

What you can expect from me

Dr. Handy has worked in settings not limited to: couple & family therapy clinic, integrative behavioral health, community mental health and private practice. She has worked with men, women, and children who have survived trauma, along with couples and families relational problems, the transient population, and those with chronic medical problems. With her training and experience, she remains committed to helping individuals, couples, and families live their best life now!
