Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Dr. Oppong and I'm a psychiatrist who has diverse educational and professional experiences. I began my professional career as a teacher, then received an MS in counseling, and continued my education by attending medical school prior to completing my residency at Charles R. Drew School of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, CA. I love working alongside my patients to treat their mental health needs; together we'll meet them head on!

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe the best approach to health is a holistic one whereby your personal care team works collaboratively. Behavioral Health is one that works best in partnerships with appropriate team members who specialize in their specific disciplines. I'll assist you in putting together a plan that helps you feel empowered and autonomous in your mental healthcare. We're all a team and you're our star player!

What you can expect from our first session

Intentional in my listening, I strive to really hear what my patients' needs and goals are. While our time together is finite, I can promise you my undivided attention during your appointments. It's important that you walk away feeling heard, seen, and empowered by our plans to improving your mental health. Mental healthcare is self-care. Together we'll start working toward you becoming the very best version of yourself. We're in this together!
