Great to meet you!

Infidelity can leave a relationship filled with shock, anger, unanswered questions, triggers, and uncertainty about what happens next. I specialize in helping couples navigate affair recovery, betrayal trauma, broken trust, repeated conflict, emotional disconnection, and relationship distress.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, counselor educator, and couples therapist with advanced training in relationship therapy, including Levels 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. My approach is structured, compassionate, practical, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental toward both partners.

I offer two treatment pathways:

Weekly Couples & Affair Recovery Therapy — Virtual Only Ongoing therapy for couples who want to work progressively on affair recovery, communication, conflict, trust, emotional connection, and other relationship concerns.

Couples Intensive Therapy — In Person Only A focused, extended-session approach for couples who need more therapeutic time than a traditional weekly session provides. Intensives may address infidelity, betrayal trauma, repeated conflict, communication breakdown, loss of trust, emotional distance, and significant relationship distress.

My Loganville, Georgia location is reserved ONLY for Couples Intensives. I do not offer standard weekly in-person therapy there. Intensives are scheduled by prior arrangement after consultation or assessment and determination that the intensive format is appropriate.

Standard weekly therapy is provided virtually.

Not sure where to begin? Schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation through Headway to discuss whether weekly therapy or a Couples Intensive may be the appropriate next step.

My approach to therapy

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach to affair recovery is structured, trauma-informed, and relationship-focused. Healing after infidelity requires more than simply telling couples to forgive, communicate better, or move on.

I guide couples through a structured recovery framework:

TRUTH → TRAUMA → TRIGGERS → TRUST → MARRIAGE #2

Truth — addressing what happened, secrecy, honesty, accountability, transparency, and unanswered questions.

Trauma — addressing the emotional impact of betrayal, including grief, fear, anger, intrusive thoughts, emotional flooding, and the loss of safety.

Triggers — identifying and learning to manage reminders of the betrayal and reactions that repeatedly reopen the wound.

Trust — developing accountability, appropriate boundaries, consistency, emotional safety, communication, and behaviors that can gradually rebuild trust.

Marriage #2 — rather than simply returning to the relationship that existed before the affair, couples work toward intentionally creating a healthier relationship with clearer boundaries, deeper understanding, greater accountability, and renewed connection.

I incorporate Gottman-informed interventions, trauma-informed strategies, relationship assessment, attachment principles, and practical tools for rebuilding connection.

What you can expect from me

You can expect therapy to be focused, compassionate, practical, and purposeful.

Early in treatment, we assess the impact of the affair, emotional safety, betrayal trauma, triggers, trust, communication patterns, accountability, and what each partner needs in order to move forward.

We then determine which treatment pathway best fits your needs:

WEEKLY AFFAIR RECOVERY Regular sessions for couples who want to work through recovery progressively while continuing their everyday routines.

AFFAIR RECOVERY INTENSIVE A concentrated extended-session approach for appropriate couples who need additional therapeutic time to address the crisis, trauma, triggers, trust, and future of their relationship.

The goal is not simply to “get over the affair.” The goal is to help couples move from crisis and confusion toward clarity, emotional safety, accountability, healthier boundaries, renewed trust, and connection.

When reconciliation is chosen, we work toward creating what I call Marriage #2—a healthier relationship intentionally built after betrayal.
