Great to meet you!

I've spent 25 years in mental health — across behavioral health agencies, community treatment settings, and now private practice — and I've worked with people at nearly every stage of struggle. As a Black male therapist licensed in Ohio and Pennsylvania, I bring something many of my clients have been looking for: a real understanding of cultural context, without the need for long explanations. I have a genuine passion for working with children ages 8 to 12 — that critical developmental window where the right support can meaningfully change a child's path. I also work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, substance use, bipolar disorder, PTSD, men's issues, and more. All sessions are conducted via telehealth with evening and weekend availability, so quality care doesn't have to compete with your schedule.

My approach to therapy

My approach is evidence-based but never one-size-fits-all. I draw from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), Family Focused Therapy, and Strength-Based approaches — selecting what genuinely fits you, not what's easiest to apply. I'm direct, I'm warm, and I believe lasting change happens when there's a real relationship in the room. I don't do scripts. I do honest, invested work alongside my clients.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a conversation — not an intake checklist. I want to understand who you are, what's been going on, and what you're hoping the other side of this looks like. By the end, you'll have a clear sense of how I work and what our time together might look like going forward. For parents bringing a child, we'll talk about what you're seeing at home and at school, and I'll take time to connect with your child in a way that feels comfortable. There's no pressure, no judgment — just a real first step.
