Great to meet you!

You are you, and nobody understands this as deeply as you. I approach our work from a humanistic, person-centered foundation that helps guide your innate strengths to discover, or re-discover, your authentic self. For some, therapy might look like a winding journey. For others, a direct path. Or it may be a mixture of both. I’m a relational therapist and believe that the fostering of a trusting alliance between us is essential to the realization of your unique goals of change and growth. I don’t believe that a “blank slate” therapist is a helpful one. I am human just like you.

Along with anxiety, mood, and depression-related disorders, I specialize in treating individuals struggling with OCD utilizing the "gold standard" evidence-based Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy.

I'm also trained in The Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and treat couples of all stripes and at varying stages in their partnerships.

My approach to therapy

I’m trained in psychodynamic as well as cognitive/behavioral modalities and adapt, with you, my therapeutic interventions according to where you are in the process toward a better sense of well-being.

I take a humanistic approach to therapy and believe that every person deserves a personalized approach to care. I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach and pull from a blend of therapy modalities until we find a fit that feels will help you meet your goals on your journey.

What you can expect from me

I'm flexible depending on what you're looking to work on. I find it helpful to begin with a semi-structured intake where we take a look at your goals, a cursory overlook of major life domains and what has been helpful or not so helpful for your stressors. I find this helps me begin to collaborate with you on the initial phases of a plan moving you toward where you want to go.
