Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Kyle! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and clinical supervisor (LPCC-S) in Ohio. I earned my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University and am currently pursuing my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Walden University.

I have experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other emotional challenges. My background in outpatient behavioral health has allowed me to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and with a wide range of concerns.

I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, work through challenges, and develop meaningful, lasting changes that improve your overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person's unique experiences and needs. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore challenges without judgment or pressure.

I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), existential psychotherapy, and narrative approaches. This allows us to explore not only how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence your well-being, but also how your experiences, relationships, personal values, and sense of meaning shape the way you navigate life.

I believe therapy is about more than simply reducing symptoms. It's also about developing self-awareness, building psychological flexibility, understanding your personal story, and creating a life that feels meaningful and aligned with your values.

My style is conversational, compassionate, and straightforward. I value authenticity and the therapeutic relationship, and I believe meaningful change happens through a combination of practical skills, genuine connection, and thoughtful self-exploration.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, relevant background, and what you're hoping to gain from the therapeutic process.

I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially if it's your first time. My goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where you can speak openly without feeling pressured or judged.

We'll also begin identifying your goals and discuss how we can work together moving forward. You don't need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. We'll take things one step at a time.
