Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Loma Linda University. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, and substance use concerns. My background is grounded in evidence-based psychiatric care, with a focus on thoughtful assessment, clear diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning.

I value creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and involved in their care. I believe mental health treatment is most effective when patients understand their symptoms and feel empowered to take an active role in treatment decisions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, structured, and evidence-based. I integrate medication management with therapy-informed strategies such as cognitive behavioral techniques, behavioral activation, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and preferences, and are adjusted thoughtfully over time based on response and feedback.

I aim to balance warmth and empathy with clarity and practical problem-solving. When appropriate, I provide education about diagnoses, treatment options, and medications so patients can make informed decisions and feel confident in their care.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on understanding your concerns, history, and goals for treatment. We will review current symptoms, past treatment experiences, medical and psychiatric history, and any questions or concerns you may have. I take time to listen carefully and ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.

By the end of the initial visit, we will typically discuss diagnostic impressions, treatment options, and next steps. This may include medication recommendations, therapy-informed strategies, or referrals when appropriate. My goal is for you to leave the first session with a clear understanding of the plan and a sense of direction moving forward.
