Great to meet you!

I have experience in working with: PTSD, addictions, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, caregivers and seniors, child/adults with intellectual/developmental personalities, individuals with ALS/Parkinson's and other chronic illnesses, as well as other health care professionals who seek therapy as a form of self-care. In addition, as a veteran, I have a deep connection to other veterans and their families’ seeking support. Our team works collaboratively to ensure the most effective and favorable outcomes can be achieved for our clients by discussing potential barriers to their individual goals.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Grief Professional, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for those navigating bereavement, anticipatory grief, life transitions, or those who have experienced one or more traumatic experiences. I understand that trauma/grief is not a problem to be "solved," but a process to be honored.

Life has a way of shifting our sense of self, especially when we are navigating the heavy fog of loss or the echoes of past trauma. I'm a therapist dedicated to helping individuals find their footing again after life’s most difficult chapters. My approach is built on changing the way we think to change the way we act/react in order to change the way we feel.

My approach to therapy

In addition to trauma and grief, I work with individuals who find themselves trapped in cycles of negative thinking and/or feelings. I use techniques used in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and challenge cognitive distortions; those persistent, unhelpful thoughts like "I'm not enough" or "things will never change."

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will complete an assessment and mutually agree upon goals while building rapport to ensure comfortability.
