Great to meet you!

I’m a U.S. Navy Veteran who served as a Master at Arms, working under anti-terrorism operations. My military experience shaped my understanding of stress, resilience, and the unique challenges faced by those in high-pressure environments.

I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Rutgers University, where I developed a strong foundation in mental health treatment and clinical practice.

My professional experience includes providing mental health street outreach in New York City and New Jersey, as well as counseling services in homeless shelters throughout the region. These roles allowed me to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds facing complex life circumstances.

For the past several years, I’ve focused on providing individual and group therapy to Veterans, particularly those navigating combat-related trauma and military sexual trauma. I specialize in helping clients process trauma, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and stability in their lives.

My approach is direct, compassionate, and solution-focused. I aim to create a space where clients feel understood, challenged when appropriate, and supported in making meaningful, lasting change

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in a strengths-based perspective and cognitive therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to identify and build on their existing strengths while addressing unhelpful thought patterns that may be impacting their emotions and behavior.

My style is direct, supportive, and solution-focused. I help clients develop practical tools to manage challenges, process trauma, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a structured but relaxed conversation where we begin to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your background, current concerns, and what’s bringing you to therapy, while also giving you space to share at your own pace.

We’ll start identifying initial goals and what you’d like to get out of therapy, whether that’s managing stress, processing trauma, or improving overall functioning. I’ll also explain how I work and answer any questions you may have.

My goal is to create a straightforward, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable, understood, and ready to begin making progress.
