Great to meet you!

I believe healing happens best in the context of honesty, safety, and genuine connection. My goal is to be both personable and grounded as I walk alongside you through the wounds and challenges that come with living in a broken world.

I have been providing therapy services since 2009. My professional journey began in Texas, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. Although I originally planned to pursue youth ministry, I felt clearly called to shift into the field of therapy—where I could help individuals, couples, and families experience lasting change and restoration.

In 2010, I relocated to Arizona and began working in a residential treatment setting with adolescent girls from severely broken and traumatic backgrounds. That experience deeply shaped my clinical approach and reinforced my passion for helping people heal at both the personal and relational levels. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving individuals, couples, and families in the Prescott area.

For clients who desire it, I am happy to respectfully integrate faith and spirituality into therapy. My aim is always to meet you where you are and support your growth in a way that feels safe, meaningful, and aligned with your values.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in a systems perspective, meaning I look beyond isolated symptoms to understand how relationships, family dynamics, life experiences, and current stressors interact with one another. I believe lasting change happens when we address both individual concerns and the relational patterns surrounding them.

I draw primarily from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Structural Family Therapy, and Gottman-informed approaches. This allows therapy to be both practical and relational—focused on strengths, clear goals, and actionable steps, while also paying close attention to boundaries, roles, communication patterns, and emotional connection.

Rather than staying stuck in what is not working, we work intentionally toward what you want to change and what is already working that we can build upon. For couples, I use Gottman-based principles to help improve communication, manage conflict more effectively, and strengthen emotional and relational safety.

Therapy with me is collaborative, purposeful, and paced with care. I strive to create a calm, honest, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported and appropriately challenged. When desired, faith and spirituality can be thoughtfully integrated as part of a holistic approach to healing, always guided by your values and comfort level.

What you can expect from me

The first session is focused on creating a safe, welcoming space where you can begin sharing your story without pressure or judgment. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels most challenging right now, and what you hope might be different as a result of our work together.

I will ask thoughtful questions to better understand you as a person within your relationships, history, and current circumstances. You are not expected to have everything figured out—this session is about clarity, connection, and beginning to identify what matters most to you.

By the end of the first session, most clients leave with a clearer sense of direction, an understanding of how therapy can help, and a plan for next steps that feels realistic and supportive. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and hopeful about the path forward.
