Great to meet you!
As a social worker, my primary framework locates a client within their own context: a person-in-environment approach. In working with me, we will explore the many layers of context you inhabit, including primary relationships, community networks, and larger systems that shape your experience. I specialize in issues pertaining to families of elementary age children, grief and loss, and trauma. I also have a particular interest in the perinatal period for birthing people.
I am committed to social and racial justice, and work to continue integrating an anti-racist, anti-oppressive practice. I am influenced by many approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, motivational interviewing, ecological and place-based social work, mindfulness, and somatic work.
I recognize the vulnerability of seeking mental health care. My hope is to acknowledge that bravery, build connection, and meet you with empathy in the healing space. Please feel invited to reach out to me for more information and/or a free 15-minute consultation.
