Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Kylie, an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Ohio. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University and bring extensive experience from inpatient and community mental health settings, where I supported individuals navigating mental health conditions and substance use disorders. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and those healing from complex trauma, and my approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe healing happens in spaces rooted in safety, trust, and empowerment, and that growth is possible at every stage of life—much like tending a Zen Garden, one thoughtful step at a time. I work with individuals, couples, and families, integrating modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Hypnotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, DBT, IFS-informed care, and holistic practices like Reiki when appropriate. Your voice, boundaries, and lived experience are honored here, and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in the belief that healing occurs in environments that prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment. While trauma can deeply impact how we experience ourselves and the world, I believe that growth and restoration are possible at every stage of life. With care, patience, and support, healing can unfold—much like tending a Zen Garden, one thoughtful step at a time.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a gentle beginning, not a test or a deep dive before you’re ready. We’ll focus on getting to know one another, creating a sense of safety, and understanding what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. You are always in control of what you share, and we’ll move at a pace that feels respectful of your boundaries and lived experience. I’ll ask some questions about your goals, your strengths, and any challenges you’re facing, and together we’ll begin shaping a path forward that feels supportive and empowering. There is no pressure to have everything figured out—this is simply a space to be heard, understood, and met with compassion as we take the first step of your healing journey.
