Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm glad you're here. I have been a social worker for about 10 years, working with nonprofit organizations and for-profit companies to build programs and processes to meet the needs of so many wonderful, creative people across the communities where I've lived. I've been practicing as a Licensed Social Worker for about 2 years, recently obtaining my LCSW. I bring a systems approach to my clinical work, informed by culture, history, structures, and how these policies and stories shape our own personal lived experience.

There's a few groups of people I tend to work well with!

  • I work well with folks navigating identity, self-care & self-leadership: who are you to yourself & how are you showing up within your life.
  • I work well with folks navigating meaning: worth, purpose, value, belief, existential questions, and for many, the accompanying suicidal ideation.
  • I work well with folks struggling to notice, identify, regulate and respond to their emotions.
  • I work well with folks stuck in fear & avoidance: small, steady, accessible steps to rebuild trust and adaptability with yourself to face what is ahead.
  • I work well with folks navigating complex trauma: layers of emotion, identity, anxiety, fear, and complicated, sometimes harmful relationships.

Whoever you are and wherever you are, my approach grounds me in the care of your humanity. I am willing and able to work with you, wherever our starting point might be.

My approach to therapy

I am naturally conversational, warm, engaging, challenging & curious. It is a genuine care that fuels my work and that energy fills the space.

My approach is integrative:

  • I love using body-based approaches to rebuild our relationship with the present moment, our sensations, our rhythms and our instincts.
  • I also use insight and intellectual thought to challenge thinking, mindset and perspective.
  • I use parts-work and language to facilitate communication and connection between our internal needs and emotions.
  • Many of us are at our max. capacity in areas where we need different tools, skills, or strategies. I appreciate a pragmatic approach that weaves teaching, coaching, learning, modeling, practicing, exposing, problem-solving all together to equip you for facing your life in our modern world.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will go over some standard policies, procedures, and structure for our work together. We'll chat and collaborate, spending time with any questions you're bringing in, too.

Then we'll have a conversation around your life, maybe the past, certainly the present. This can go in many winding directions and our end goal is to leave that first session with direction for therapy. This might look like specific goals, or it might look like knowing you don't feel well and you're ready to see what could help. The time will wrap up with us getting on the same page for continued meetings, communicating any next steps or follow up, and wishing you well until next time!
