Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Kylie. It's nice to meet you :)

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and love to work with people 18+ across the lifespan as they navigate the ebbs and flows of life. It's important to me to work alongside you, which means my job is to create a space where you are able to begin to slow down, shift your focus inward, and come back home to yourself.

My approach to therapy

My number one priority is to build a relationship with you where you feel seen, heard, respected, validated, and understood. I specialize in helping people reconnect with their needs by providing a person-centered, strengths-based environment to explore the parts of you that may be hard to be with, and the experiences you may try to forget. I utilize EMDR, CBT, DBT, and am IFS informed, and enjoy helping people build back safety and a sense of calm in their bodies and begin to feel connected to their ground again. Clients I see may typically experience chronic stress, rumination, emotional sensitivity, difficulty in trusting themselves or others, or find that although they have been successful in many aspects of life they feel numb, disconnected, irritable or angry.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together will be spent gathering some information about your history, life, relationships, job or school, needs, and goals for therapy. It's helpful for me to get a good overview of the 'headlines' of your life-moments or people that have felt impactful. With that being said, I never expect people to share intimate details or distressing memories that they do not want to share or are not ready to share, and am open to changing topics if needed. From there, we will talk about scheduling, payment, and other administrative needs so that you leave the session feeling clear about what our plan is moving forward and what to expect in treatment with me!
