Great to meet you!

Hello, just a little about me. I have been married for 28 years and have three children between the ages of 25-32. I have spent my entire career life if the helping field with an extensive background in trauma. I have been licensed as a Professional Counselor since 2004, and certified as a Registered Play Therapy, Credential as a sand Tray Therapist and trained in EMDR. I love ongoing training in order to help improve my skills and learn the newest techniques to better serve my clients.

A bit about my approach to therapy

although I am trained and certified in a variety to modalities, my approach to therapy is prescriptive. I feel it is important to have the knowledge to meet the clients needs and not focus on just one modality that may not be as effective as an other one. I want to ensure that I tailor my skills to the needs of the client.

What you can expect from our first session

My clients can expect to leave my sessions feeling that they were heard and validated, in a safe space. I want my clients to feel that they have learned new and improved skills to help them better manage their emotional needs. Ultimately, the goal to help the client feel more empowered , more rational in their cognitive process and feel more confident that they are able to more effectively manage and regulate their emotions.
