Great to meet you!

Hi, My name is Kyrah Larkin. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and understanding.

My professional background includes working in substance abuse treatment, supporting women through a wide range of life transitions and challenges, and helping families build healthier communication patterns and stronger relationships. These experiences have shaped my holistic and client center approach to therapy, allowing me to meet each individual and family with empathy, understanding, and practical support tailored to their unique needs.

I specialize in treating anxiety, stress, PTSD and trauma. I understand how overwhelming these experiences can feel, and I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can happen. My goal is to help you develop practical tools, gain insight, and feel more empowered in your day-to-day life.

Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or seeking overall emotional wellness, I’m here to support you on your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and client centered. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I believe that each person’s story is unique, so I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs, goals, and pace.

I draw from evidence-based practices, including trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and mindfulness-based strategies. When working with clients, I focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and addressing the root causes of distress rather than just symptoms. I also emphasize emotional awareness, healthy communication, and developing practical tools that you can apply in your daily life.

Give my background, I have a strong focus on supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, stress, PTSD and trauma, as well as those navigating substance use challenges, women’s issues, and family dynamics including at risk youth. I aim to empower my clients to rebuild to build resilience, improved relationships, and crate meaningful lasting challenge

What you can expect from me

From your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe to share at your own pace. My priority is to help you feel comfortable and heard while we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship.

During the initial session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your current challenges, and identify any goals you like to work toward. I’ll also ask questions to better understand your background, experiences, and strengths so we can create a personalized plan that fits your needs.

Together, we’ll begin setting realistic and meaningful goals, such as reducing anxiety and stress, improving coping skills, processing trauma, strengthening relationships, or increasing overall emotional well-being. I focus on creating a space that is collaborative and empowering, where you feel supported while also gaining tools and insight to make positive changes in your life.

As we continue working together, you can expect consistency, compassion, and guidance, along with practical strategies to help you navigate challenges both inside and outside of therapy.
