Great to meet you!
I have had the unique experience of living in and traveling to different parts of the USA and the world. As a result, I have interacted with(in) different cultures, individuals, and situations/circumstances in various parts of the world that have challenged me to embrace others in a way that allows me to have a level of empathy and compassion that contributes to my effectiveness as a clinician.
Goal-setting has always been a staple in my life, and it lends itself very well to my work with clients. I have the degrees (Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology), licenses (Virginia, District of Columbia, Wisconsin, and the United Kingdom), and work experience (20+years, including the last 10 years in DC and VA) that would be expected for a psychologist. I also have the drive, determination, and motivation to help others attain their goals, and work towards an enhanced well-being.
I work with adults to address issues related to anxiety, adjustment, depression, focus/concentration/time management, identity (including athlete identity), expatriation/repatriation, managing interpersonal conflict, and grief.
