Great to meet you!

I'm La Tonya Klish-Polk, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and Nevada with over a decade of experience. I assist individuals with depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, self-esteem, and mood disorders. I work with children (12-17) and adults (18+), tailoring my approach to each age group. I hold an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University. I'm dedicated to providing a supportive and non-judgmental space for your healing and growth.

A bit about my approach to therapy

In my client work, I blend therapeutic methods like CBT for reshaping negative thoughts, narrative therapy for reshaping life stories, and ACT for accepting feelings and taking value-aligned actions. I ensure a supportive, identity-affirming environment, meeting clients where they are with humor and collaboration, and empowering them to navigate challenges confidently.

What you can expect from our first session

As your therapist, expect a caring, non-judgmental space where your thoughts are valued. I'll understand your experiences and work with you to set goals and develop strategies tailored to your needs. Using evidence-based techniques, I'll actively listen, offer feedback, and foster a trusting relationship for your growth and well-being. Together, we'll navigate challenges, build on strengths, and strive for balance.
