Great to meet you!

I am Lacandace Collins, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I enjoy connecting with individuals and families from all walks of life assisting them to find long term solutions that can be life altering.

My approach to therapy

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, behavioral concerns, life transitions, relationship issues, and stress management. I utilize evidence-based approaches while creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, empowered, and equipped to achieve their personal goals. I believe in partnering with clients to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and foster meaningful, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment focused on getting to know them as a person, not just the challenges that brought them to therapy. The initial session includes a semi-structured psychosocial assessment, where we will discuss your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals for treatment. This process helps me gain a comprehensive understanding of your experiences while allowing space for you to share what feels most important.

I strive to balance gathering the information needed to develop an effective treatment plan with creating a comfortable, conversational experience. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, share their expectations for therapy, and discuss what they hope to achieve. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and collaborating on a path forward that is tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.
