Great to meet you!

Maybe you understand exactly why you do what you do, but still find yourself repeating the same patterns. You may overthink, people-please, push yourself too hard, struggle to set boundaries, or turn to food, drugs, alcohol, relationships, or achievement when life feels overwhelming. You may even know where these patterns came from and still feel stuck. If you’ve wondered, “Why can’t I just stop?” you’re not alone, and it isn’t because you’re weak. These patterns began as ways of protecting you. You’re not broken- only blocked. Together, we’ll gently uncover what’s keeping you stuck so you can reconnect with your highest self.

I help adults heal the trauma that’s keeping them stuck in addiction, eating disorders, attachment wounds, people-pleasing, and shame. My clients can explain their trauma logically, but their bodies haven’t gotten the memo that it’s over. My approach is person-centered, drawing from EMDR, somatic therapy, parts work, psychodynamic and spiritual frameworks.

My approach to therapy

One of the most important questions I ask is: What difference do you want to see in yourself as a result of this work? Clarifying that vision is part of what makes change sustainable. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and gently challenging. I believe healing happens when you feel safe enough to be fully known, not judged.

I have over 12 years experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field. I am trained in EMDR, Somatic EMDR, and RRT. I focus primarily on EMDR, parts work, & somatic therapy for people who understand things intellectually but still feel stuck. Most of my clients will see a gradual softening of symptoms within the first month of treatment.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and identifying what you’d like to work toward. I’ll ask questions about your current challenges, your history, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. You’ll have space to share at your own pace without feeling pressured to have everything figured out. We’ll also begin identifying patterns and strengths that can guide our work together.

I always tell my clients that choosing a therapist is a little like trying on a pair of pants- you get to see how we fit together. If they don’t feel right, keep looking for the pair that does! Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with and connected to matters, and there’s no pressure to make that decision after one session. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we can go from here.
