She returned to Texas to get her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from Baylor University. In college, she spent her summers working at Pine Cove Christian Camps. When she graduated, she began her career in the child welfare system where she supervised and trained CASA volunteers, ran a mentoring program for youth aging out of foster care, and licensed and trained prospective foster and adoptive families. Lacey is trained in Trust Based Relational Intervention ©, a caregiving model that is designed to meet the needs of children from hard places.
