Great to meet you!

I am a Texas-based clinical social work professional who values creating a supportive, respectful space where you can speak openly and feel heard. I understand that life can become overwhelming when you are managing stress, family responsibilities, work demands, relationship concerns, major transitions, or emotional challenges.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and strengths-based. I believe you are the expert on your life, and therapy can be a place to identify what is getting in the way, build on what is already working, and develop realistic next steps at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy

I use a person-centered and collaborative approach to therapy. Together, we will explore your goals, your experiences, and the patterns that may be affecting your well-being. I aim to offer both emotional support and practical tools that can help you navigate everyday life with greater clarity and confidence.

I focus on helping clients recognize their strengths, improve coping skills, set healthy boundaries, communicate more effectively, and make progress toward meaningful personal goals. I strive to provide care that is culturally responsive, nonjudgmental, and tailored to each client’s individual needs.

What you can expect from me

Hello!

I’m glad you’re here. You made it to the one space where you do not have to have it all together or have all the answers.

From the first session, there is no judgment here—just space for you to be human, whatever that means for you. I invite you to breathe (literally), unpack, and process at your own pace.

I can support you in creating meaningful goals that align with what you value most in life and follow your progress. After all, therapy is not about being perfect. It is about becoming the best version of yourself while also learning self-acceptance along the way.

I enjoy teaching practical skills that you can actually use, whether that is a thinking strategy, deep breathing, mindfulness, or body-based techniques to help you feel more grounded.

Think of me as a mirror—someone who can help you reflect on your thoughts, experiences, strengths, and patterns with compassion and honesty. I can also be a helpful guide as you move through your journey, helping you explore what matters most to you and build practical tools to support the life you want to create.

In session, you may laugh, cry, and feel all the feelings. Most of all, I hope this can be a space where you feel safe to grow.

Sincerely,

Lacreshia Franklin, LCSW
