Great to meet you!

Lacy Dyke has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and hope. She believes that meaningful change begins within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, Lacy works alongside her clients to help them gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and create lasting positive change.

Lacy is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with more than 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She earned her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Abilene Christian University and has extensive experience in both educational and clinical settings. In addition to her private practice work, Lacy serves as a school counselor and provides clinical supervision to LPC Associates throughout Texas.

Drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and family systems perspectives, Lacy tailors treatment to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. She strives to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges, build on their strengths, and work toward meaningful growth.

Lacy has extensive experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, grief and loss, family conflict, parenting challenges, self-esteem issues, and adjustment difficulties. She is particularly passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults, parents, and families as they navigate the complexities of life, relationships, and personal development.

My approach to therapy

I offer individual, couples, and family counseling sessions on a weekly, bi-weekly, or intensive basis, depending on your needs and goals. Sessions are available either in person at my Kingwood office or through secure online telehealth services. While every client's journey is unique, meeting consistently often helps build momentum and achieve meaningful progress more quickly. Appointments are available Monday through Thursday.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel a little nervous. My goal is to make your first session feel comfortable, welcoming, and free of judgment. You don't have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door—just come as you are.

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, your personal history, your current challenges, and what you hope will be different in your life. We'll also talk about your strengths, the support systems you already have, and what has (or hasn't) worked for you in the past.

This first meeting is just as much about you getting to know me as it is about me getting to know you. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and deciding whether I'm the right therapist for your needs. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of successful therapy, and I believe you should feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning.

Before you leave, we'll work together to identify a few initial goals and create a plan for moving forward at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you're looking to manage anxiety, improve relationships, navigate a life transition, or simply better understand yourself, we'll build a personalized approach that fits your unique needs.

Above all, you can expect a warm, compassionate space where you can be yourself—no pressure, no judgment, and no expectation to have all the answers. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you gain insight, develop practical tools, and feel more confident as you move toward the life you want to create.
