Great to meet you!

If you've been meaning to do this for months, or you're a parent wondering whether your teen will even talk to a therapist, that's a normal place to start. I'm a LICSW licensed in Massachusetts, and I've spent 12 years working almost entirely with teens and young adults. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, and ADHD: panic before school or work, avoidance that quietly shrinks your world, executive dysfunction that looks like laziness from the outside. I'm trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, a model built specifically for young people, and I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients, including identity questions and coming out.

My approach to therapy

Collaborative and solution-focused. I'm more interested in where you're headed than in circling what isn't working. I use CBT and Trauma-Focused CBT when past experiences need structured processing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy when the goal is momentum, and Motivational Interviewing when you're not sure you even want to be here yet - more common than people expect, especially with teens. My style is warm and direct. We'll actually talk, set goals you care about, and work on them in a way that fits your real life.

What you can expect from me

A conversation, not an assessment. If you're a teen, I'll talk with you, not just your parents. If you're a parent, I'll be clear up front about confidentiality and how you'll stay in the loop. If you're coming on your own, we'll figure out what you want from therapy and whether I'm the right fit.

You'll leave knowing what we'd work on and how, with no pressure to commit on the spot.
