Great to meet you!

I have spent my career helping young people deal with depression, anxiety, tough experiences, and issues related to being adopted from foster care. My approach to therapy is direct, collaborative, and goal-oriented. My passion is helping children heal from past trauma, break unhealthy patterns, and grow into their best selves. My career began in education and evolved into counseling, where I have focused on guiding children and families toward positive transformation and emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

In our sessions, I help clients explore the reasons behind their feelings. As a former teacher, I know that one approach doesn't work for everyone. That's why I use different methods, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, to help your child succeed. I view goal setting as a collaborative process where we work together to define what healing and growth look like for you. By creating goals with you—not for you—I ensure your treatment is personal, meaningful, and encourages active engagement in your journey.

What you can expect from me

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic partner. During our first session, we’ll review consent forms, discuss my therapeutic style and expectations, and explore your goals for treatment. I’ll also gather background information to better understand your needs and ensure I’m the right fit to support your journey.
