Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m LaKendria Ellis, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I provide a warm, supportive space for clients who may be used to holding everything together for everyone else while quietly feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or stuck.

I specialize in supporting women and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, relationship concerns, motherhood, and major life transitions. I have a particular passion for helping women reconnect with themselves, establish healthier boundaries, strengthen their confidence, and create a life that feels more aligned with who they are and where they want to go.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, empowering, and person-centered. I integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based interventions while tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs and experiences.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Together, we can explore what’s keeping you stuck, recognize the strengths you already possess, develop practical tools for change, and help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I work to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where healing, growth, and empowerment can take place. I pay close attention to the details of your story, helping you recognize patterns, connect the dots, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering while also incorporating accountability and practical strategies for change. Together, we’ll explore where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you want to go. I integrate evidence-based interventions with curiosity and compassion to help you recognize your strengths, build effective coping skills, establish healthier patterns, and make decisions that align with your values and the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin creating a safe, supportive environment for you to share what brings you therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, experiences, strengths, and what you hope to gain from counseling. Together, we'll identify goals and begin developing a personalized plan that supports your growth, healing, and overall well-being. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the work ahead.
