Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m LaKesha Brisbane, a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I believe that mental health care should feel personal, collaborative, and judgment-free. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable talking openly about what you’re experiencing.

My background in both psychiatric and primary care allows me to look at the whole person—not just a diagnosis. I work with individuals experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and other mental health challenges. I understand that physical and emotional health are closely connected, and I take both into consideration when developing an individualized treatment plan.

Whether you are seeking mental health care for the first time, returning to treatment, or looking for a provider who will take the time to listen, I’m here to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll work toward a treatment approach that supports your goals and helps you move toward feeling and functioning at your best.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, with a focus on creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being an active part of your care. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health challenges. As a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner, I take a whole-person approach by considering how physical health, medications, sleep, lifestyle, and emotional well-being may be connected. Together, we’ll develop a practical treatment plan that reflects your needs, preferences, and personal goals.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what you’re experiencing. Together, we’ll identify meaningful and realistic goals that may include improving your mood, reducing anxiety, strengthening focus, improving daily functioning, building healthier coping skills, and finding greater stability in your everyday life. I believe progress looks different for everyone, so we’ll regularly check in on what is working, make adjustments when needed, and celebrate the steps you make along the way.
