Great to meet you!

Good day, I believe real healing happens when you feel truly heard and understood, which is why I take a trauma-informed, family-centered approach tailored to your unique journey. I’m LaKieya Patterson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of dedicated experience walking alongside children, adolescents, and families through life's most challenging moments. My practice is built on a simple foundation: compassion, safety, and deep empathy. Together, we’ll create a supportive, warm space where you and your family feel empowered to navigate life's struggles, discover your inherent strengths, and build a clearer, brighter path forward.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is grounded in creating a safe, compassionate, and structured healing environment for children, adults, and families. I integrate evidence-based modalities, including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), Motivational Interviewing, and SBIRT.

In every session, I ensure you fully understand the purpose and intent of these interventions. I clearly explain how each method functions, demystifying the therapeutic process so you feel informed, empowered, and actively engaged in your wellness journey.

I maintain consistency with these modalities, following structured clinical protocols to ensure outcomes while adapting techniques to meet your individual needs.

Over 5 years of my career, I have extensive experience working with children and families in both mandated and non-mandated capacities across outpatient clinics, educational settings, shelters, and community based programs. Additionally, I am highly proficient in providing accessible care via Telehealth and bring over three years of dedicated private practice experience.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive space. I believe healing begins with connection, trust, and meeting each person where they are in their journey. Together, we will review what to expect from me and from you, discuss what brings you to therapy, and if applicable explore your past experience with therapy to build a clear, collaborative path forward for your growth. This time is for you so we will focus on what brings you to session for the day.
