Great to meet you!

I work with adults facing life’s challenges, including stress, grief, trauma, and self-doubt, who are motivated to overcome obstacles. Many of my clients deal with the lasting effects of childhood trauma, loss, family struggles, relationship issues, and job-related stress, which can lead to symptoms of depression or anxiety. Together, we focus on processing these heavy emotions and moving beyond the pain to enhance overall quality of life.

I earned my Doctorate in Educational Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and my Master’s in Counseling from Jackson State University. I’m a licensed professional counselor and supervisor, as well as a board-qualified telemental health provider. With over 20 years of experience, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping them navigate a variety of emotional and mental health challenges.

My approach to therapy

Taking a person-centered approach, I focus on empathy, compassion, and active listening to meet my clients' needs. In my supportive role, I strive to help them draw on their strengths, resources, and resilience to handle challenges effectively.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about creating a safe, welcoming space where you can feel at ease sharing your goals for therapy and your reasons for seeking help. It’s also my chance to walk you through how the therapy process works.
