Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Lara Adeyemi, a doctorally prepared, double board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and adult & gerontology nurse practitioner and the founder of Twins Caring Hands. I help people navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood changes, and sleep difficulties.

My approach begins with listening. I want to understand what you’re experiencing, how it affects your daily life, and what matters most to you. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy, practical coping strategies, or a combination of approaches.

I strive to create a welcoming space where you can speak openly, ask questions, and take an active role in your care. Whether you’re seeking help for the first time or looking for a fresh approach, my goal is to help you feel heard and supported as we work toward meaningful progress.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with listening. I take time to understand your symptoms, personal history, daily challenges, and goals before recommending treatment. I want you to feel heard and comfortable asking questions.

We’ll make decisions together. Depending on your needs, care may include medication management, psychotherapy, and practical strategies you can use between visits. I’ll explain your options clearly, check how treatment is working, and adjust the plan with you as your needs change. My goal is to provide thoughtful, compassionate care that fits your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and understand what brought you to care. I’ll ask about your current concerns, health and treatment history, medications, and how your symptoms affect your daily life. You’ll have time to share your goals and ask questions.

By the end of the visit, we’ll discuss my initial assessment and a plan for next steps. That may include further evaluation, psychotherapy, medication options, or a combination of approaches. We’ll make decisions together, at a pace that allows you to understand your options and feel comfortable with the plan.
