Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Lara Cohen and I am a Colorado-based, neurodivergent, licensed clinical psychologist passionate about treating depression and anxiety, especially in those who struggle with belonging and identity. As a neurodivergent human, I enjoy partnering with neurodivergent, disabled, and/or LBTQIA+ individuals; despite our differences, we share the challenge of living authentically and healthily in a society that was not designed with our wiring in mind.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Former clients have described me as warm, open-minded, and affirming. Using an evidence-based, person-centered approach, I will start where you are and collaborate with you to address your symptoms while affirming your human uniqueness. To support your treatment goals I integrate acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy techniques. For my neurodivergent clients, I can also help you understand the results of your psychological assessments.

What you can expect from our first session

We will explore what keeps you stuck in the mud of anxiety and/or depression and strive to help you create a fulfilled, empowered, SEEN life, while being realistic that vulnerability and bravery can be risky, especially as a minority. Call today to schedule a free,15-minute therapy consultation appointment and start your healing journey now!
