Great to meet you!

Maybe your family keeps hitting the same conflicts. Maybe your child or teen is struggling and you’re not sure how to help. Maybe you feel stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break. Whatever brought you here, reaching out takes courage, and I want to honor that.

I believe therapy is a partnership in which you are the expert on your own life and your journey. My role is to walk alongside you, help you see the patterns that hold you back, and build new ways of moving through everyday life that reflect your values and goals. You set the pace. As Maya Angelou wrote, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” This is a safe place to tell yours.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My approach is grounded in Family Systems, which means looking at how relationships shape us and how change in one part of a system can ripple through the whole. I draw on more than 14 years of experience, including Multisystemic Therapy, family system work, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to meet each person and family where they are.

Most importantly, remember that you are enough, just as you are, right now.

My approach to therapy

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I bring years of experience in Multisystemic Therapy (MST), helping families make lasting changes at home, at school, and in their relationships.

With families, I use Structural Family Therapy and Strategic Family Therapy. In session, we map recurring patterns, like parent-teen arguments, clarify roles and boundaries, and practice new ways of responding. Drawing on MST, we also look at school, peers, and community, set clear goals, and track progress weekly.

With adolescents and adults, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) builds skills for managing strong emotions and conflict. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients make room for difficult feelings and move toward what matters to them.

With adults and couples, I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore the inner “parts” that drive reactions, like a part that needs control or one carrying old hurt, with curiosity rather than judgment.

Healing begins with safety. I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where I’ll be direct with you, because you deserve honesty as much as kindness.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a relaxed, 50-minute conversation, by video. It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous, and you don’t need to prepare anything or have the right words.

We’ll start with a few basics like confidentiality and how therapy works. Then I’ll ask what brought you in, what’s been happening in your life, and what you’d like to be different. For children and teens, parents are usually part of this first conversation.

You’re in charge of the pace. Share only what feels comfortable, skip any question you’d rather not answer, and ask me anything along the way. By the end, we’ll talk about your goals and whether I feel like the right fit for you. Many people leave their first session feeling lighter just from being heard.
