Great to meet you!

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted can make even everyday responsibilities feel heavier than they should. You may be struggling with depression that makes it difficult to feel like yourself, family stress that follows you into other parts of your life, or painful experiences that continue to influence how you think, feel, and respond today. I work with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, family issues, stress management, and trauma. These concerns can also overlap with ADHD, anger management, grief or loss, relationship issues, domestic violence, identity concerns, or maternal mental health challenges, especially when several parts of your life are affecting one another. Therapy can give you a space to slow down, understand what is underneath what you are feeling, and begin making changes without judgment or pressure. Together, we can build on your strengths and help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both what you are experiencing today and the family, relationships, emotions, and experiences that have shaped how you got here. We’ll explore how anxiety, depression, family issues, stress management, and trauma may be affecting your emotional wellbeing and everyday life. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and develop healthier ways of responding, Dialectical Behavior Therapy to build practical skills for managing intense emotions, tolerating difficult moments, and communicating more effectively, and Motivational Interviewing to explore change without pressure while strengthening your own reasons for moving forward. I may also use Interpersonal Therapy to better understand how relationships and life changes affect your emotional wellbeing. Our sessions will be collaborative, supportive, and grounded in your individual experience, balancing deeper understanding with practical tools you can carry into everyday life.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where therapy should begin. During our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what brought you here, what has been most difficult, and what you hope will feel different. Together, we will create goals that feel meaningful and realistic and decide where it makes the most sense to start. You can expect me to bring warmth, patience, and encouragement to our conversations while creating a space where you can talk honestly about difficult emotions, family challenges, relationships, or painful experiences without feeling judged. Progress may look like feeling less consumed by anxiety, reconnecting with yourself when depression feels heavy, managing stress and intense emotions more effectively, communicating more openly with the people you care about, or feeling less controlled by experiences from your past. We will continue checking in on your goals and shape our work around what helps you feel more grounded, supported, and confident moving forward.
