Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida, with a Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University, earned in 2019. I have a deep passion for helping individuals navigate the challenges of trauma, depression, and anxiety. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and empowerment, enabling clients to rediscover their voice and confidence. I thrive on building strong, trusting relationships with those I work with, which allows for meaningful progress in their healing journeys. My experience spans diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults from various cultural backgrounds, and I value the unique perspectives each individual brings to the therapeutic process.

My approach to therapy

Over the past four years, I have focused on building strong, trusting relationships with my clients, which I believe is the key to effective therapy. In our sessions, I create a safe and supportive space where you can heal and grow at your own pace. I often use two specific approaches: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which can be very helpful for individuals dealing with mental health challenges.

DBT helps you learn skills to manage intense emotions, improve your relationships, and stay present in the moment. This can be particularly useful if you find yourself struggling with feelings that seem overwhelming.

CBT focuses on changing negative thought patterns that may be contributing to feelings of anxiety or depression. By learning to identify and challenge these thoughts, you can develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving, leading to a greater sense of well-being.

Many clients find that these methods not only help them cope better with their challenges but also empower them to make positive changes in their lives. My goal is to support you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

During our initial session, I will provide a comprehensive overview of the therapy process, addressing any questions or concerns you might have. This collaborative dialogue is essential as we explore your personal history and experiences. Together, we will identify your goals and clarify what you hope to achieve through therapy, ensuring that the journey is tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. My aim is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing and engaging in this important work.
